**WATER CONCERNS CONTINUE – FACTS ABOUT FLUORIDATION
Fluoride has for years been presented to the public as a “good guy” that helps keep your teeth happy. However, like so many other claims, the truth is mixed. Balance is usually an important factor.
So, per the following explanation of TIP’s positions, we share the concern of many re: mass exposure to fluoride via tap water.

**POSITIONS ON MEDICAL MATTERS. We do not give “medical advice” and do not prescribe or proscribe individual treatments. However, as part of our mission to educate on toxic exposures, we do share evidence of concern about accused substances. We also believe there is a bad thing when people, medical degrees or not, prescribe mass treatment of whole populations with medicines, drugs, etc. People are known to react differently to various chemicals, and we believe that what is imposed upon or placed in your body should be a matter between you and your doctor.
Dosage amounts and correct diagnosis are part of responsible health care. One factor in the vaccine debate is the large number & variety of vaccines being given, sometimes at one visit. That’s why we are quite concerned about vaccine mandates and the many chemicals in public water supplies. Mass medication is a risky business. Similar thoughts have been shared about EMFs (Electro-Magnetic Fields) from Wi-Fi, “Smart Meters”, etc.
IMPORTANT DEBATE: WHY NOT ORGANIC HYDROPONICS?
(ANSWER: NOT YE. TOO MANY QUESTIONS - & MAYBE ANOTHER WAY IS POSSIBLE) Serious questions are being raised about whether hydroponics and aquaponics should be included in acceptable organic standards. We can’t cover all the bases here – but there is a short, simple immediate response – not now! The reason? Because current practices do not meet truly organic requirements. However, this article suggests there might be future ways of doing water-based growing that could be organically legit.

The issue is complex. Hydroponics could be seen as a good form of growing, if done properly, but it is not the same as what is generally understood by the term, “Organic”. And, many farmers can’t afford organic certification costs, but are actually growing organically. I have sometimes suggested to such folks at Farmers Markets that they follow the example of other such growers by putting up a simple sign, “No Pesticides Used”. Can we trust that? Well, probably as much or more than the corporate controlled federal agencies of our time!
My Verdict: Absolutely no approval now – but the conversation should continue, and perhaps the idea from this commenter should be considered: “I suggested that anyone selling food without chemicals should create their own label and explain the standards enforced by that label. Such a system was in use in Europe up until the late 1990s. Labels like Nature et Progres, BioFarm, Lemaire-Boucher, Demeter, and even the Swiss supermarket chain Migros, all published the standards to which their chemical-free labels adhered and enrolled farmers who sold under their label. GE SOYBEANS GIVE ALTERED MILK

Pregnant goats fed with genetically engineered (GE) soybeans have offspring who grow more slowly and are shorter, according to a new Italian study (Tudisco et al., 2015). Publishing in the journal of Small Ruminant Research, the researchers were testing the results of supplementing the feed of female goats with Roundup Ready GE soybeans. Roundup Ready soybeans are engineered to resist the herbicide Roundup and are sold by agribusiness giant Monsanto. They are some of the most widely grown soybeans in the world.
